DID1RFD Davidson Chair - $63.99ID: DID1RFD We predominately use North American Ash hardwood for posts, seats and back slats and North American Hickory hardwood for our stretchers. These woods are chosen due to the unique hardwood characteristics of each species. We reserve the right to substitute other solid hardwood species as the market dictates. Our
construction methods use no glue, but instead combine multiple pressure
clamping, precisely machined components, and the woods natural
characteristics to manipulate the expansion and swelling of interlocking
joints.
All
components are machined and hand-sanded for a smooth, uniform surface.
Every hardwood surface has its own personality and is distinctive in
every way.
All
items are available in standard finishes. The finishes are all stains
and therefore, the natural characteristics of the wood will be visible
on many finishes and is not considered to be a defect. To prolong the
life of the finish, the chairs should not be exposed to the weather.
From time to time, the product should be cleaned with a fine furniture
polish.
Slat Seats:
Seats are shaped with a band saw then glued and fastened to solid
hardwood supports. Seats are then trimmed and sanded prior to chair
assembly
The Homestead style is is 20" wide, 16.5" deep and 35" tall.
Rush Seats:
Seats are hand woven of natural sea grass. The sea grass husk is dried
and twisted. It is hand woven to a solid hardwood frame. Over time, sea
grass may change color as light exposure and drying will cause the
natural material to turn a more golden color.
Plywood Seats: Chairs/Barstools: Our solid wood seats are constructed on multi-ply plywood with a hardwood bottom and center plies and an ash hardwood top ply. Seats meet or exceed BIFMA standards. Round Top Stools: Seat thickness is 1 1/32" by 13" round. Top is bored with 5/8" holes to accept leg frame. Must Be: Purchased in increments of 2 with a minimum of 12.
